More Red Light Cameras to be Added in Broward County

Pembroke Pines will up its ante for traffic offenders with red light cameras at an additional four intersections for a total of five. Just in time for season, these cameras assist law enforcement in catching and ticketing those who break traffic laws by running red lights.

With the goal of keeping drivers and pedestrians safe, the red light cameras will go into effect on Nov. 22.

The new intersections are: eastbound Taft Street at North Hiatus Road; northbound Hiatus at Taft; northbound Southwest 136thAvenue at Pines Boulevard; and northbound Dykes Road at Pines. The fifth camera, already in use, is located at eastbound Pines at Southwest 129th Avenue.
