Turn off the ignition, and wait. Yes, wait. Don’t lift the hood immediately or remove your radiator cap. Let the vehicle cool down first. Are you low on our out of coolant? It may need refilled but you also need to check your hoses for breaks, tears, leaks.

In the hottest months of the year, keeping fluids full and checking tires are very important. When you get an oil change, ask for a Safety Check as well. And remember to take it easy on wet roads.
