Balkan & Patterson Investigates Potential Class Action against Target for Credit Card Hack
Balkan & Patterson is investigating the massive security breach at Target that affected customers at all their stores between November 27, 2013 and December 15, 2013, the peak of the holiday shopping season. Media sources indicate that as many as 40 million credit and debit card numbers may have been hacked. The thieves purportedly stole all the information on the cards’ magnetic strips, including full names, card numbers, expiration dates and even security codes. Media sources say it may have been either sophisticated, organized criminals who planted a virus in Target’s system, or an inside job. Target has now hired a third party forensic firm to prevent it from happening again.
The attorneys at Balkan & Patterson are experienced in class action litigation. If you were a shopper at Target between Nov 27 and Dec 15 and believe you were a victim of fraud, or you received notification from Target that you were in fact a victim, please contact us immediately and we will review your case at no charge.
